Hospital Etiquette

Please partner with us to maintain the best healing environment for our patients. We encourage you to use the hand foam-sanitizer provided when entering and exiting a patient’s room. It’s also best to limit the number of visitors to two at all times, and if you are ill, please consider staying home.

Children are welcome to visit, but they must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Due to sensitivity and the risk of infection, we request that you do not bring children under the age of 13 to visit patients in our various Intensive Care/Critical Care Units.

Please use our free valet parking when you visit our hospital campus.

Cafeteria and Vending Machines

Our chefs (many from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY) are trained to produce high-quality nutritious meals. They partner with our team of registered dietitians to make sure we satisfy a variety of dietary needs while providing great-tasting meals for patients, staff and visitors alike.

Our cafeteria is located on the lower level of the hospital. The daily menu is available by calling Extension 23609 from any hospital house phone. The cafeteria is open Monday to Friday 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM, weekends 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM.

Vending machines are located on the first floor by the employee health office and the Emergency Department entrances.

Northern Dutchess Hospital is pleased to offer free wireless Internet access to our guests. When you log on, you’ll be presented with a disclaimer screen prompting you to enter your email address to gain full access to the Internet.
