The Foundation for Vassar Brothers Medical Center

The Vassar Brothers Medical Center Foundation raises philanthropic funds from friends across the community who wish to support the Medical Center’s mission of providing compassionate healthcare to the people of the Mid-Hudson Valley.

Report on Giving

Vassar Brothers Medical Center’s history of providing excellent and compassionate healthcare has been made possible by a tradition of generous community support. That support has enabled the Medical Center to purchase the latest technology, update its facilities, and attract topflight healthcare professionals – and all for one common purpose: to provide the people of this region with the very best in healthcare.

The Vassar Brothers Medical Center Patient Pavilion

Just two years ago, Vassar Brothers Medical Center broke ground on a 752,000-square-foot patient pavilion — an addition to the campus that will transform how patients in the mid-Hudson Valley experience hospital care. Scheduled to open early in 2020, this new pavilion will allow Vassar Brothers to provide a healthcare experience that addresses patient need at every level: patient and family comfort; ease of access to compassionate, well-trained caregivers; state-of-the-art facilities and treatment technology, and ready access to a broad range of primary and advanced clinical services.

WHY WE ASK FOR YOUR SUPPORT

The success of this $550 million transformational project depends upon generous support from every segment of the VBMC family and community. All whose lives have and will be touched by the Medical Center have a great stake in this extraordinary project — and an unparalleled opportunity to join in support of it.

Won’t you join in this transformational effort?

Robert R. DysonThe new patient pavilion is an extraordinary gift to our region. That is why I have agreed to lead this dedicated $25 million capital campaign. With $12.5 million already raised, we now turn to friends across the community for help raising the next $10 million. And for some added incentive, here is my promise: If you can help us reach that goal in the next twelve months, my family’s foundation will provide a capping gift of $5 million. This historic project is the most significant contribution ever to our region’s health and well-being—and it deserves the generous support of everyone in our community.

Together, we can make it a success.
