The Foundation for Vassar Brothers Medical Center

The Vassar Brothers Medical Center Foundation raises philanthropic funds from friends across the community who wish to support the Medical Center’s mission of providing compassionate healthcare to the people of the Mid-Hudson Valley.

Report on Giving

Vassar Brothers Medical Center’s history of providing excellent and compassionate healthcare has been made possible by a tradition of generous community support. That support has enabled the Medical Center to purchase the latest technology, update its facilities, and attract topflight healthcare professionals – and all for one common purpose: to provide the people of this region with the very best in healthcare.

The Vassar Brothers Medical Center Patient Pavilion

Just two years ago, Vassar Brothers Medical Center broke ground on a 752,000-square-foot patient pavilion — an addition to the campus that will transform how patients in the mid-Hudson Valley experience hospital care. Scheduled to open early in 2020, this new pavilion will allow Vassar Brothers to provide a healthcare experience that addresses patient need at every level: patient and family comfort; ease of access to compassionate, well-trained caregivers; state-of-the-art facilities and treatment technology, and ready access to a broad range of primary and advanced clinical services.

2020 Events

The caregivers at Vassar Brothers Medical Center are demonstrating remarkable courage, resilience and commitment while meeting challenges related to overflowing ICUs, disrupted supply chains and modified staffing levels due to COVID-19. As we fight the COVID-19 pandemic, we are banding together and finding creative solutions to the challenges at hand and ahead.

In light of the pandemic, VBMC has made the difficult decision to cancel all of our 2020 events including our signature fund-raisers that bring much-needed revenue to our hospitals each year.

Considering these challenging times, we respectfully ask for your support when the demands on our healthcare system are immediate and growing. While we are not hosting our events this year, we invite you to reallocate any donations you intended to make to our events to VBMC’s Emergency Preparedness/COVID-19 efforts by visiting: https://patients.healthquest.org/novel-coronavirus-covid-19-update-2-2/

Your tax-deductible donation will allow us to continue to be ready to respond to the pandemic by helping to build our reserves of supplies, equipment and supporting our team in their tireless efforts to care for you and your loved ones.
