Information

Learn more about how palliative care can help you and your family:

  • Palliative care provides physical, emotional and spiritual support for seriously ill patients.

Dealing with a serious illness can be a lonely and difficult experience, and patients and their families need to know they are not alone. At Health Quest our mission is to provide excellent healthcare that embraces the whole person: body, mind and spirit. Palliative care supports this mission by helping you deal with the symptoms of a challenging illness while insuring comfort, dignity and quality of life. You may find palliative care helpful if you have a serious, chronic or long-term illness, including, but not limited to, advanced heart or lung disease, neurological conditions and dementia.

To help you deal with the various challenges that arise during illness, our Palliative Care Program includes services from pain management, rehabilitation and nutritional counseling to pastoral counseling and emotional support. We will also help you find the supportive community services that you and your family may need after discharge.

Hospice care, while providing palliative care, is meant specifically for those who are approaching the last stage of life and are no longer receiving curative, life-prolonging treatments.
