Hip and Knee Surgery

MAKOplasty® total hip replacement surgery is an innovative surgery performed with the help of highly advanced robotic technology that allows for an unsurpassed level of precision. The result is a shorter surgery time and a faster recovery compared to a traditional hip replacement.

MAKOplasty® partial knee resurfacing is a minimally invasive procedure that may help you avoid a full joint replacement if your early- to mid-stage deterioration has not progressed to all three compartments of the knee.

MAKOplasty® total knee replacement is a robotically assisted procedure that enables surgeons to accurately position an implant in the knee.  Precise pre-operative planning using a virtual 3D model and the new implant design which promotes a natural circular motion are advantages of the procedure.

TruMatch® custom knee replacement surgery with VISIONAIRE is the latest advancement in personalized knee replacement service, providing the surgeon with visuals of the unique angles and variations of the patient's bones. This technology allows the surgeon during surgery to position the new knee based on the patient's exact body structure. The result is better balance after surgery and a longer-wearing, more stable knee that is not likely to require a revision.

Revisions are surgeries required when a hip or knee replacement does not last. Some reasons why revisions may be required include natural aging, wearing of the bearing surface, infection, fractures or disruption of the cement used in the replacement. Each revision situation is unique and can be further complicated by scar tissue, bone loss, infection and more sophisticated implants. When implants have to be removed, the surgery and recovery time might take longer than they did for the initial replacement.

Arthroscopy is a minimally invasive procedure used to treat many joint-related conditions. In an arthroscopic examination, an orthopedic surgeon makes a small incision in the patient's skin and inserts a tiny camera-like instrument that magnifies and illuminates the structures inside the joint. Because this minimally invasive procedure captures high-resolution images, surgeons use it both to diagnose conditions as well as remove torn or damaged cartilage and bone fragments. Usually treated as same-day surgery, arthroscopy can be performed in our outpatient facilities.
