The focus is on achievable fitness at Northern Dutchess Hospital’s Realistic Fitness for Realistic Women event from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Wed., Oct. 11, in the hospital’s Cafeteria Conference Room, 6511 Springbrook Ave.

This women’s wellness event, which will incorporate physical activity and learning, is geared for those who feel like they’ve tried everything, don’t know where to start or need motivation to jump the fitness fatigue hurdle.

Chelsea Streifeneder of Body Be Well Pilates in Red Hook will teach easy-to-do moves that can sculpt the body and be performed anywhere, anytime.

Health Quest Medical Practice primary care Dr. Sharagim Kemp will provide a physician’s wisdom on how to exercise and eat better. Along with healthy snacks and fruit-infused water, participants will get a nutritional protein shake for dinner. Dress in comfortable clothes and sneakers.

Seating is limited to 30 seats. Register by Oct. 4 at 845-871-1720 ext. 1 (TTY:  800-421-1220) or at healthquest.org/wellness
