Weeklong celebration honors cancer survivors at Dyson Center for Cancer Care

National Cancer Survivor’s Day is an annual, treasured celebration of life that is held in communities nationwide.

From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, June 3, through Friday, June 7, join the Dyson Center for Cancer Care for a weeklong celebration as we honor those who have survived to inspire those recently diagnosed and demonstrate support for families weathering a cancer diagnosis.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held in the Dyson Center for Cancer Care lobby on the campus of Vassar Brothers Medical Center, 45 Reade Place, Poughkeepsie. Free valet parking is available.

Attendees can leave their mark on the fingerprint-leaf Tree of Life board and enjoy a photographic display of survivors’ own stories of hope. Members of the cancer care team will be in attendance to celebrate with families.

Light refreshments will also be served.
