Rhinebeck’s Center for Healthy Aging offers Body in Harmony balance clinic

Northern Dutchess Hospital’s Center for Healthy Aging, pharmacy and physical therapy departments will partner to present Body in Harmony, a balance clinic, on Thursday, May 21.

Adults ages 65 and up can make appointments between 10 a.m. and noon at the center, 6529 Springbrook Ave. These private consultations include a medical evaluation by a physician trained in geriatric medicine, a medication review by a pharmacist, and a balance and gait test with a physical therapist.

“We are bringing a team of experts together to assess balance because many factors, including different medical conditions, contribute to the risk of falling,” said Dr. Jodi Friedman, a geriatrician with Health Quest Medical Practice and medical director of the Center for Healthy Aging.

A licensed social worker will also be available to speak about how the fear of falling can sometimes make the situation worse.

Appointments are required. Please call 845-876-4745. For information on the Center for Healthy Aging, visit
