Primary care physician joins Kent medical practice

Posted: 8/5/2019

Sharon Hospital Medical Practice’s Kent location will gain a second primary care provider – expanding access to healthcare in the community.

Family medicine specialist Dr. Catalina Niculae will join Dr. Suzanne M. Lefebvre at the 64 Maple St., office, starting Aug. 12.

“I chose to practice in a small community like Kent because I want to make an impact in the community where I work, live and plan to raise a family of my own,” she said.

Niculae treats patients with a variety of conditions, such as hypertension, diabetes, heart disease and obesity.

She believes a patient-centered approach, which encompasses the body, mind, spirit, and emotions, is key to guiding patients towards better health and wellness.

“I love family medicine because that is what life is all about – the family,” she said.

Niculae completed her family medicine residency through New York Medical College at Saint Joseph’s Medical Center in Yonkers. She is from Romania and speaks Romanian, Spanish and French.

In her free time, she enjoys cooking traveling, spending time outdoors and fostering animals for local animal shelters.

To schedule an appointment with Niculae, call 860-927-1133 (TTY: 800-842-9710). Learn more at healthquest.org/SHMP.
