Primary care physician joins Health Quest Medical Practice in Hyde Park

Posted: 9/6/2019

Dr. Lena Jafilan has joined the Health Quest Medical Practice primary care office in Hyde Park, 4068 Albany Post Road.

“I am driven to be an advocate for all my patients to better their health and well-being,” Jafilan said. “I will use a team-based approach to ensure my patients receive the highest standard of care.”

The board-certified family medicine specialist most recently treated patients in Cleveland, Ohio, at American Well-Online Care Group, using telemedicine.

This is an online, interactive video consultation with your healthcare provider for a variety of medical conditions that can be done from the comfort of your home.

Prior to this, she evaluated and managed patients with acute and chronic conditions and developed preventative care plans to improve patient health.

Jafilan earned her medical degree from the American University of Antigua in Coolidge, Antigua.

She was a family and community medicine resident at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pa. During her residency, she gained clinical experience in various fields, including urgent care, nursing home care and sports medicine.

Since 2013, she has been a Lion Care volunteer at Hershey Medical Center. The Lion Care program offers healthcare services to underserved populations in the community.

In her free time, Jafilan enjoys cooking, traveling and spending time outdoors.
