Health Quest Medical Practice has added veteran medical professional Dr. Barry Goldman and family nurse practitioner Michele “Mickey” Goldman to the Division of Primary Care in New Paltz.

With strong ties to the New Paltz area and more than 30 years of experience, the addition of the Goldmans will provide patients with increased access to specialized physicians and quality healthcare in their community.

“We are excited to continue serving the community from the comfort of our office as local, country doctors while providing patients the added benefits of being part of the Health Quest system,” Barry Goldman said.

“As a local resident, it is rewarding to have the opportunity to become part of Health Quest and work alongside other skilled medical professionals to provide patients exceptional healthcare close to home,” Michele Goldman said.

Previously, Barry Goldman established an independent practice of family medicine, Goldman Family Medicine, in New Paltz. He has also been affiliated with the Wallkill Central School District as a school physician since 1989, and he continues to serve the district.

His past work experience includes serving as an active member of the medical staff for Kingston Hospital and Benedictine Hospital in Kingston, as well as Woodland Pond Skilled Nursing Facility in New Paltz.

He completed his undergraduate studies at Temple University in Pennsylvania and earned his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla. He continued his education with a residency in family medicine at the Kingston Family Health Center in Kingston.

Prior to joining Health Quest, Michele Goldman served as the practice administrator and family nurse practitioner at Goldman Family Medicine. Her responsibilities involved managing the family practice office, including staff development and human resources.

Previously, she served as a nurse practitioner at the Woodland Pond Skilled Nursing Facility and a clinical nursing instructor at Ulster County Community College in Stone Ridge.

She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Excelsior College, formerly known as the University of the State of New York Regents College, in Albany. She earned her master’s degree in nursing and family nurse practitioner from Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, N.Y.

The primary care office is at 66 Forest Glen Road, New Paltz, and can be reached at 845-255-5450 (TTY 1-800-421-1220). For more information, visit
