Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Renewal Course
Saturday, Nov. 2, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This is a recertification of the ACLS course. You must have an ACLS certification to take this course. Completion results in a two-year ACLS certification from the American Heart Association. A textbook (March 2016 edition of AHA ACLS) is required and AHA allows students to use the textbook when taking the written exam. You will be required to do a pre-course assessment in the text as well. For students ages 18 and up. Preregistration and payment are required.

American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED techniques for Adult, Child & Infant

CPR AED Only: 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This course covers basic first aid, CPR techniques, maneuvers for choking victims and how to use an automated external defibrillator. Instruction provided for adult, child and infant. This course is suitable for day care workers, construction workers, camp counselors and many other community professions. Course completion results in a certification card valid for two years from the AHA. Preregistration and payment are required.  Class size is limited. Textbook and materials included.

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certification

This class is appropriate for new or recertifying students that have experience in CPR. The textbook is required (February 2016 AHA BLS) and AHA allows students to use it when taking the written exam. This course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals with the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an automated external defibrillator and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. Course completion results in a certification card from the AHA valid for two years. For ages 16 to adult. Preregistration and payment are required.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Renewal Course

This course is a recertification for the Pediatric Advanced Life Support course. You must be certified in PALS to take this abridged course. Course completion results in a two-year PALS certification card from the American Heart Association. You will be required to do a pre-course assessment in the text. A textbook (2016 Edition of AHA PALS) is required and AHA allows students to use the textbook when taking the written exam. Ages 18 and up. Preregistration and payment are required.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support is an advanced, instructor-led classroom course that highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care. It also covers airway management and related pharmacology. In this course, skills are taught in large group sessions and small group learning and testing stations where case-based scenarios are presented. You must have a current BLS certification to take this course.  Course completion results in a two-year ACLS certification from the American Heart Association. You will be required to do a pre-course assessment in the text. Ages 18 and up. Preregistration and payment are required.

The American Heart Association’s Family & Friends CPR Course is a video-based, classroom course intended for individuals who want to learn CPR techniques for treating adult, children and infants and prefer to learn in an instructor-led or facilitated group environment. This class is ideal for community groups, parents, grandparents, caregivers, schools, students and others interested in learning how to save a life. The course is for individuals who do not need a certification card for a job or other requirements. For ages 10 to adult.& Preregistration and payment are required. Class size is limited.
