Posted: 10/11/2017

Dr. Marcel Hinds recently joined the Health Quest Medical Practice Division of Obstetrics & Gynecology and sees patients at its Sharon Hospital location.

“I look forward to working with Health Quest to provide compassionate, patient-centered care throughout the northeastern New York and northwestern Connecticut region,” Hinds said.

With more than 15 years of clinical experience, Hinds’ professional interests include the minimally invasive treatment of fibroids, a noncancerous growth in the uterus, endometriosis, a disorder caused by the growth of uterine tissue outside of the uterus, and pelvic pain.

A resident of Clermont, N.Y., Hinds comes to the medical practice from Columbia Memorial Health Hospital in Hudson, N.Y., where he served as an attending physician with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology for 11 years. He also held the position of department chief for the Department of Obstetrics for three years.

He earned his medical degree from Albany Medical College in New York, and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in New Brunswick.

He is a fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is also a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.
