Health Quest invites community to roller skate for heart health

Posted: 2/13/2019

Health Quest is taking over a classic hardwood floor roller rink to celebrate Heart Month with a top-rated aerobic activity.

The nonprofit health system’s Skate Your Heart Out Party is open to the public. Skate from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, at Hyde Park Roller Magic, 4178 Albany Post Road, Hyde Park.

There's no admission cost, no rental skate fees and lots of entertainment planned, including live music, fun mascots, a photo booth and more.

“Roller skating has tremendous cardiovascular health benefits and is something children and adults can do together,” said Dr. Mark Harrison, a cardiologist with The Heart Center, a division of Hudson Valley Cardiovascular Practice, P.C. “It involves all of the body’s muscles, especially the heart.”

No advanced registration is necessary.
