American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Combination Course
Saturday, Jan. 5, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
CPR AED only: 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.; First Aid only: 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

This course covers basic first aid, CPR techniques, maneuvers for choking victims and how to use an automated external defibrillator. Instruction provided for adult, child and infant.. This course is suitable for day care workers, construction workers, camp counselors and many other community professions. Course completion results in a certification card valid for two years from the AHA. Preregistration and payment are required. Class size is limited. Textbook and materials included.

American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Provider Course

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support is an advanced, instructor-led classroom course that highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care. It also covers airway management and related pharmacology. In this course, skills are taught in large group sessions and small group learning and testing stations where case-based scenarios are presented. You must have a current BLS certification to take this course. Course completion results in a two-year ACLS certification from the American Heart Association. You will be required to do a pre-course assessment in the text as well. Age 18 and up. Preregistration and payment are required. Class size is limited. Text included.

American Heart Association Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Course

The Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED course is designed to meet the regulatory requirements for child care workers in all 50 states. It teaches child care providers and others to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. It covers the four steps of first aid and first aid skills such as finding the problem, stopping bleeding, bandaging and using an Epinephrine pen. Child CPR AED, infant CPR and a module in adult CPR AED and Asthma Care Training for Child Care Providers are also included in this program. Successful completion results in a certification card valid for two years. Preregistration and payment are required. Text included.

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Renewal Course

The AHA’s BLS Provider Renewal Course is designed for those who are currently certified and need to renew an existing BLS certification. This abridged renewal course is for experienced providers. It teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both pre-hospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on high-quality CPR and team dynamics. Course completion results in a certification card valid for two years from the American Heart Association. Current textbook required. Preregistration and payment are required. Class size is limited.

American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Provider Course

This course uses a scenario-based, team approach to teach pediatric emergency respiratory and cardiac arrest management. This course is for healthcare providers who initiate and direct advanced life support in pediatric emergencies. You must be currently certified as a BLS Healthcare Provider to take this course. Course completion results in a two-year PALS certification from the American Heart Association. You will be required to do a pre-course assessment in the text. For ages 18 and up. Family & Friends CPR Course

The American Heart Association’s Family & Friends CPR Course is a video-based, classroom course intended for individuals who wish to learn CPR techniques for treating adult, child and infants and prefer an Instructor-led or facilitated group environment. This class is ideal for community groups, parents, grandparents, caregivers, schools, students, and others interested in learning how to save a life. The course is for individuals who do not need a certification card for a job or other requirements. For ages 10 to adult. Preregistration and payment are required. Class size is limited. This class is appropriate for new or recertifying students. The textbook is required (February 2016 AHA BLS) and AHA allows students to use it when taking the written exam. This course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals with the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an automated external defibrillator and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. Course completion results in a certification card from the AHA valid for two years. Preregistration and payment are required. Class size is limited.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Renewal Course
