Collaboration is key at Nov. 2 balance clinic in Rhinebeck

Posted: 10/24/2017

The Center for Healthy Aging will bring a physician, pharmacist and physical therapist together to present a Body in Harmony balance clinic on Thursday, Nov. 2.

Adults ages 65 and up can make appointments between 10 a.m. and noon at the medical office, 6529 Springbrook Ave. These private consultations include a medical exam by a geriatric medicine specialist, a medication review and a balance and gait test.

“When it comes to symptoms like dizziness and vertigo, it’s important for specialists to collaborate and provide a comprehensive approach,” said Dr. Jodi Friedman, the center’s medical director. “Problems with balance are very common and if left untreated, there can be potentially troubling consequences, such as injuries from a fall.”

Space is limited and registration is required. Please call 845-876-4745. For information on the Center for Healthy Aging, visit www.healthquest.org/CHA (TTY: 800-421-1220).
