Cardiologists, nutritionists provide lunch talks during Heart Month

Learn how to make smart choices to prevent heart disease, the leading cause of death for men and women in the United States, at the Heart Center’s Heart-Healthy Lunch and Learns this February. 

A nutritious meal will be served while the audience learns nutrition tips and hears from a cardiologist about risk factors, advanced treatments, blood pressure guidelines and more.

Heart Month schedule:

Heart-Healthy Lunch and Learn
Noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26
Health Quest Medical Practice’s conference room, 1240 Ulster Ave., Kingston (formerly Macy’s in the Town of Ulster mall)
Speakers: Dr. Sandeep Joshi, a cardiologist with The Heart Center, and Christine Hertel, a registered dietitian

Heart-Healthy Lunch and Learn<
11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27
Northern Dutchess Hospital’s cafeteria conference room, 6511 Springbrook Ave., Rhinebeck
Speakers: Dr. Douglas Kroll, a cardiologist with The Heart Center, and Roufia Payman, nutrition counselor and diabetes prevention coach

Registration is required; no walk-ins.
