Health Quest Community Education offers free child safety seat checks

Health Quest Community Education provides free safety seat checks each month at three locations.

A nationally certified technician will teach participants how to properly install car seats, what type of safety seat or seat belt fits your child and how to secure the child in the safety seat or belt. Current recommendations for child safety, information on child seat needs as they develop and solutions for children with special needs are also provided.

Child safety seat checks are conducted by appointment only at the following locations:

Northern Dutchess Hospital, 6511 Springbrook Ave., Rhinebeck: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays and 6 to 9 p.m. the third Thursday of each month.

Vassar Brothers Medical Center, 45 Reade Place, Poughkeepsie: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursdays and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. second Saturday of each month. Please note that in April and June, the checks will be on Sunday, April 12 and Sunday, June 14.

Health Quest Community Education, 1351 Route 55, LaGrangeville: Appointments available as needed between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.
