Through a generous $150,000 pledge by the Putnam Hospital Center Auxiliary, a 3-D mammography unit was recently installed at the hospital, providing patients with greater clarity and accuracy in detecting breast cancer over two-dimensional imaging. The American Red Cross has issued an emergency call for blood and platelet donations due to a critical shortage. Putnam Hospital Center is stepping in to help fill the gap by hosting a blood drive from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 2, in Michael T. More than $70,000 was raised at the Putnam Hospital Center Golf Invitational to support healthcare services for the community. The inaugural Putnam Hospital Center Farmers Market kicks off on Thursday, June 29.
