National Cancer Survivors' Day

By Irene Scofield  |  5/22/2015

On the first Sunday in June, cancer survivors along with their families and friends gather to show the world that life after a cancer diagnosis can be rewarding and inspiring. These gatherings take place nationwide and are an inspiration to those newly diagnosed with cancer or touched by someone with cancer. This day honors all cancer survivors — anyone with cancer from the day of diagnosis through the remainder of life.

Of all the events at Health-Quest, this day of hope and joy is my favorite. It is so inspiring to be with all the cancer survivors and their families in this celebration of life.

I hope you will join us at the Dyson Center for Cancer Care for music, activities and refreshments. View a lovely display of quilt squares with messages of hope and love made by cancer survivors and family members. At noon, we will go outside to release of butterflies. Friends and family are welcome.

To attend, please call 845-483-6264 and register to reserve your spot. I look forward to seeing you there.
