We train healthcare providers and our community in life-saving techniques.

Health Quest Community Education offers courses and certifications through national programs including the American Heart Association (AHA), Emergency Care & Safety Institute and the American Health & Safety Institute.

Whether you are a healthcare provider who needs recertification or someone who wants to learn CPR or wilderness first aid, we offer a variety of life-saving and disaster preparedness courses throughout the year.

Some of our most popular courses include Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) techniques & Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use, American Heart Association instructor courses, Basic Life Support (BLS), Pet First Aid and a babysitters course. And our certification classes meet state regulations for training.

We also offer group training for businesses and organizations, CPR in schools and educational partnerships with local colleges and institutions. For some AHA courses, we also provide online and one-on-one training for your convenience. And learn Hands-Only CPR—with just a few steps, you could help save a life.

We are proud to provide free child safety seat checks to help new parents pick the appropriate car safety seat and understand how the seat works.

Become a Public Access Defibrillator Site

Is your business or organization considering installing Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) and becoming a Public Access Defibrillator (PAD) Site? We can help your business help save a life!

We encourage all business owners to have at least one AED on site to aid employees or visitors who may experience a sudden cardiac arrest. Early CPR and early AED use gives victims the best chance of survival.

Health Quest Community Education offers free assistance to help you:

  • Complete the required New York State paperwork
  • Select the appropriate type of equipment for your site
  • Form policies and procedures for use and maintenance of your new AED(s)
  • Direct you toward eligible grants
  • Conduct yearly drills at your location free of charge
  • Find the proper type and level of training required for your staff

Your organization may also be eligible to be a designated member of the Dutchess County Heart Safe Community, and we can assist you in the application process as well. Please note we do not offer free equipment or training for this designation — those costs must be covered by your business.
