We train healthcare providers and our community in life-saving techniques.

Health Quest Community Education offers courses and certifications through national programs, including the American Heart Association (AHA), Emergency Care and Safety Institute and the American Health and Safety Institute.

Whether you are a healthcare provider who needs recertification or someone who wants to learn CPR or wilderness first aid, we offer a variety of life-saving and disaster preparedness courses throughout the year.

Some of our most popular courses include Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) techniques, including the proper use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), the American Heart Association Instructor course, Pet First Aid and a Babysitter Preparedness course. Our certification classes meet state regulations.

We also offer group training for businesses and organizations, CPR in schools and educational partnerships with local colleges and institutions. For some AHA courses, we also provide online and one-on-one training for your convenience. And learn Hands-Only CPR—with just a few steps, you could help save a life.

We are proud to provide no cost child safety seat checks to help caregivers pick the appropriate child safety seat and understand how that seat works.

Become a Public Access Defibrillator Site

Is your business or organization considering installing Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) and becoming a Public Access Defibrillator (PAD) Site? We can help.

We encourage all business owners to have at least one AED on site to aid employees or visitors who may experience a sudden cardiac arrest. Early CPR and early AED use gives victims the best chance of survival.

Health Quest Community Education offers assistance to help you:

  • Complete the required New York State paperwork
  • Select the appropriate type of equipment for your site
  • Form policies and procedures for use and maintenance of your new AED(s)
  • Find eligible grants
  • Conduct yearly drills at your location free of charge
  • Find the proper type and level of training required for your staff

Your organization may also be eligible to become a designated member of the Dutchess County Heart Safe Community. We can assist you in the application process. The cost of equipment or training for this designation is the responsibility of the business owner.
