The Neugarten Family Birth Center at Northern Duchess Hospital offers a unique home-away-from-home experience. Supported by a sophisticated, high-tech environment, mothers stay in one single private birthing suite from labor through delivery to recovery. A water birth room is also available, as are special suites for Cesarean birth. Dads and/or primary support person can visit anytime they want as in-room sleeping accommodations are provided. There’s even a complimentary massage for Mom!
The Birthing Center at Putnam Hospital Center is a state-of-the-art obstetrics unit. You and your baby can enjoy the latest advances in birthing techniques in the privacy of your own labor/delivery/recovery room while families can choose to wait in their own postpartum suites. An expanded waiting room and charming interior courtyard are also perfect for visitors.
Vassar Brothers Medical Center has the largest maternity center between New York City and Albany and meets the needs of you and your family in a highly specialized environment, including Maternal Fetal Medicine, with fabulous views of the Hudson River from maternity rooms. The Level III Neonatal Care Unit takes care of high-risk, premature and sick newborns. You’ll also find the pediatric unit staffed with specialists in cardiology, pulmonology, endocrinology, neurology, hematology/oncology, nephrology and gastroenterology.
