Rapid access to test results

Results for chemistry profiles, blood counts and other routine testing will be reported on a same-day basis. Through the Patient Care Inquiry (PCI) function of our hospital computer system, your physician can access all test results performed by the Sharon Hospital Laboratory, regardless of whether you were seen as an inpatient, in the Emergency Department or in the physician's office. In addition, all reports will be auto-faxed to the physician's office unless prior arrangements have been established. If the physician's office has not provided a current fax number, reports will be mailed instead.

Stat orders (for certain tests) will be given the highest priority at no additional charge, with test results available within one hour of receipt of the order and specimen in the Laboratory.
